I've heard really great comments about Max Brooks' World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War so was intrigued where this would hit with the recent surgence in zombie-based films and television shows. Based on this trailer, I'm not too intrigued anymore. I haven't read the book but is it as trite as this trailer makes it seem?
The book is amazing. It's done like an "Oral History". The narrator interviews survivors about their experiences during the Zombie War. It's really interesting and well done.... Also, the zombies don't run in the book... Don't let that trailer convince you not to read the book.
This is what I heard from many others, Loni! I don't let movies dictate what I'll read so eventually I will get to this one (in the TBR pile with many others). But, wow, this trailer makes the story look horrible. Of course, it could be the actor leading the story....
